Bevel Boss® Cordless Pipe Bevelers
Bevel Boss® cordless pipe bevelers quickly and safely bevel plastic pipes with a diameter of 2 inch and larger. The tool’s unique design facilitates safe, fast beveling with consistent, superior results. Users can reduce prep time and enjoy the lightweight tool for beveling multiple pipe lengths. These pipe bevelers find application in PVC and CPVC plastic pipe including C900, Corzan® CPVC, Bionax® PVCO (C909) and also ABS. Add bevels on most PVC glued joints and some sizes of bell and gasket joints.
The adjustable router bit permits a bevel length up to 1 inch and cuts evenly and efficiently. Battery-powered, this cordless pipe beveler produces no fumes. Conveniently, the guide plate rests against the pipe edge, eliminating guesswork about the bevel. To limit damage to the gasket, a pipe bevel is required when installing into a pipe bell. Bevels on cement joints allow for even distribution of solvent cement glue to maximize glue contact area. Always defer to pipe manufacturer specifications for bevel recommendations.
Recently, REED introduced a beveler vacuum as a convenient solution to suction beveling debris. The optional Bevel Boss® vacuum box connects to 1 ¼ inch suction hose to collect plastic chips. For environmental sensitivity at the jobsite, the vacuum operates in tandem with the beveler to suction debris in a one-step operation.
Bevel Boss® alters to trim pipe interiors, too. Electrical and utility contractors deburr internally to make pipe interiors snag-free for running wires. To create internal bevels on plastic pipe or conduit with an inside diameter (ID) or 2 inch or larger, add the REED interior beveler, CPBIDS.
REED offers full kits and separately sells Beveler Adapter Heads to fit Milwaukee®, Bosch® or DeWalt® die grinders. Beveler adapters permit temporary conversion of the user’s die grinder to serve as a beveler.
