NUCA Greater Kansas City Region Accepting Scholarship Applications

NUCA Greater Kansas City Region scholarship applications are now open, with a deadline of April 15, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.

The scholarship is available to eligible high school seniors and current college, trade school, or technical school students who are children of, or currently employed by, a NUCA GKCR member in good standing. Applicants must be planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or trade school for the academic year beginning in August.

First-place recipients will receive $8,000, paid in installments of $1,000 per semester for up to eight semesters at a four-year university, or $2,000 per semester for up to four semesters at a two-year technical college or trade school. A runner-up award of $4,000 may also be granted, paid in installments of $500 per semester for up to eight semesters at a four-year school or $1,000 per semester for up to four semesters at a two-year technical college or trade school.

Applicants must submit an acknowledgement letter signed by the student, parent or guardian, and high school counselor, along with signed SAT or ACT score documentation, a transcript, and a faculty recommendation letter that includes class ranking information and GPA. An in-person interview is also required.
