“AZUCA members are excited to broaden our scope of service to our members and our local communities,” said AZUCA President Clint Overton. “With the new National affiliation assisting our chapter’s membership network, we can now have a greater impact for the industry and our members.”

The Arizona chapter held its first event as a newly rejoined NUCA Chapter in July at a golf outing in Flagstaff. The event had over 100 participants, a much larger number of attendees than the event has seen in the last few years. “We are well positioned to continue bringing our members together throughout the pandemic, and now we want to position them for greater prosperity and a louder legislative voice in the future,” said Overton.

The association would like to continue with trainings/events/meetings on a quarterly basis. A membership breakfast with an attorney to discuss construction contracts dealing with materials shortages, delays, inflation and the pandemic was scheduled for the end of October. AZUCA Arizona Chapter of NUCA was able to award seven scholarships to deserving AZUCA Arizona Chapter of NUCA member dependents in August and September.

“It’s very exciting to recharter a former chapter and bring them back to NUCA,” said NUCA Chairman-elect Ryan Kinning and chapter development committee chairman. “When a former chapter decides to come back to NUCA it shows that they see the progress we are making, and they see this progress making their association stronger. Their members see the strong value of being part of our national association and the many benefits NUCA can now offer to their members and chapter.”

Members planned to attend the Washington Summit in November with in-person meetings, and are excited to receive their Charter at the National Convention in March 2022 in San Antonio.
