Barbco CEO Barbera to Present at 8th Annual Utica Shale Midstream Conference

Tony Barbera, CEO of Barbco Inc., will be a keynote speaker at the 8th Annual Utica Midstream Conference at the Holiday Inn Canton (Beldon Village), in Canton, Ohio, on Sept. 24. Event co-sponsors are the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and Shale Directories.

These highly informative Shale Oil and Gas educational programs present the latest developments in the Utica upstream, midstream, and downstream as related to exploration and production, oil and gas public policy, ethane cracker plants, sustainable jobs in manufacturing, and more. This program routinely attracts a diverse business audience throughout Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and Northwest West Virginia. This year’s speakers include leaders from Genscape, MPLX (Marathon), Lane Power & Energy, Encino Energy, the US Dept of Energy, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources!

Accordingly, Barbera’s presentation on Barbco’s revolutionary and patented FlexBor tooling and technology, as well as, his 30-plus years of trenchless expertise will be very well received. In addition, Barbco will have a display table on site.

Barbera has been with Barbco since the beginning in 1989. He has mastered all aspects of the fabrication of the AMB product lines and related tooling. This includes CNC machining, plasma burning, general machining, fit and weld fabrication, paint, hydraulic and electrical assembly. Barbera has experience with international and domestic sales, as well as leading the Barbco Engineering team.

Barbera is involved in the commissioning and consulting on all Barbco manufactured Auger Boring, Guided Auger Boring, Boring Machine Tunnel Attachments, Horizontal Directional Drill, FlexBor, TriBor equipment, as well as with, domestic and international sales and rentals. He holds numerous domestic and international patents. The latest two have been conferred on Nov. 5, 2019 and Jan. 7, 2020. Four more international and one more domestic inventions are well along in the patenting process.

Barbera has professional organization memberships with: North American Society for Trenchless Technology (NASTT), National Utility Contractor Association of Ohio (NUCA), and Association of Equipment Manufactures (AEM), as well as a frequent speaker at the Microtunneling Short Course. In addition, he is on the advisory board for the Barbera Education, Research & Training (BERT) Facility at the Trenchless Technology Center on the campus of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana.
