NUCA of KY Announces Scholarship Winner
NUCA of KY announced that Carlee Yokley, an intern at Cleary Construction, has won the 2025 Walter Gainer Scholarship.
Carlee is a standout student, athlete, and intern at NUCA member company Cleary Construction in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, where she has already begun laying the foundation for a future career in the industry. She has a strong academic record that she plans to further at Lindsey Wilson College, in Columbia, Kentucky. She is an exceptional student-athlete, earning many different honors.
At Cleary Construction, Yokley has already grown from apprentice to intern. She has worked in project management, human resources, and billing. She plans on pursuing a leadership role in human resources at Cleary. Aside from sports and education, Yokley is also deeply involved in her community. She has taught Sunday School, coached Little League, and served in leadership roles in many clubs such as FCA, Beta Club and more. Yokley credits her mother and her twin sibling bond in her achievements.
The Walter Gainer Scholarship is a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 each year for 4 years). The NUCA Foundation offers scholarships to high school seniors whose parent or guardian works for a NUCA member company. This includes dependents of employees of NUCA members, high school student employees of NUCA members, and dependents of NUCA Chapter Executive Directors.
