NUCA Statement On President Trump’s Inauguration
The chief executive officer of the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), Doug Carlson, issued the following statement on the inauguration of Donald J. Trump as the 47th President of the United States:

“The members of the National Utility Contractors Association extend our warmest congratulations to President Donald J. Trump on his inauguration as the 47th President on January 20, 2025. This historic moment marks a new chapter in this nation’s history where we look forward to the implementation of sound business policies aimed at revitalizing America’s infrastructure, fostering substantial construction projects, and advancing regulatory reform.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, there is a strong expectation that the construction industry will see a surge in economic activity. His pledge to pull back and cut burdensome regulation is welcome, along with his support of domestic energy exploration and the construction of new energy infrastructure such as pipelines. This strategy not only aims to address the long-standing needs of America’s crumbling infrastructure but also to create thousands of jobs in the construction sector.
“His focus on job growth through these programs cannot be overstated. His administration’s previous efforts in regulatory reform have already shown how such policies can lead to increased real incomes for American households, with significant annual savings and income boosts expected from his various deregulatory measures.
“These policy directions are not just about immediate job creation but also about setting the stage for sustainable economic growth. Our members are confident that under President Trump’s leadership, the American economy will now experience increased economic benefits, job growth, and an enhanced quality of life for our citizens.
“Congratulations President Trump on this monumental achievement, and NUCA looks forward to working with your administration to rebuild America’s infrastructure.”
