NUCA to Host First-Ever Utility Construction Career Fair
NUCA’s first-ever Utility Construction Career Fair is taking place on Nov. 15 at the Dulles Expo Center, in Chantilly, Virginia. Industry report after report has shown that nationwide, utility construction companies continue to feel the work/worker gap. Many utility contractors have had to turn down new contracts this year because of a lack of qualified employees to take on the additional workload.
The best way to ensure that you are fully staffed and trained in anticipation of the next busy season is to interview and hire now. Doing so will give you ample time to effectively train your new employees. If your company does work in the mid-Atlantic region, there’s still space and time for you to sign up to be an exhibitor at the career fair, interview prospective new hires on the spot, and hire the people you need to be even more successful in 2020. If you are interested in locating the employees you need, reach out to Cheryl Stratos to reserve a booth.
Additionally, NUCA offers an online NUCA Career Center for those seeking employment with the U.S. utility construction industry. Job seekers can browse available positions and post resumes. Employers can post open positions and gain access to posted resumes.
