NUCA welcomes new Utah chapter

NUCA leadership officially chartered the NUCA of Utah Chapter in February at the 2026 NUCA National Convention in Tucson.

The National Utility Contractors Association’s (NUCA) chapter network keeps getting stronger as the association welcomed the NUCA of Utah Chapter as its newest member, officially chartered during a ceremony at the 2026 NUCA National Convention in February.

The chapter’s journey kicked off in October 2025 with a Core Champions Dinner, where key contractor and industry leaders came together to discuss NUCA’s value, Utah’s utility construction challenges, and the potential for a state chapter.

The excitement was immediate, with strong early champions stepping up. That momentum carried into a lively Prospecting and Networking Event in November at a Utah Mammoth game, introducing NUCA to a broader group of contractors and suppliers and sparking even more interest. By January 2026, the group held an official Chapter Formation meeting to shape the chapter’s structure and volunteer leadership.

In less than six months after the first gathering, the NUCA of Utah Chapter met every requirement and proudly received its charter plaque Feb. 12, presented to Founding Member Kaleb Shumway of CrewTracks and Executive Director Christine Barnes.
