Viva Las Vegas!
NUCA welcomes you to its 2014 Convention in Las Vegas! Since 1964, the association has been helping CEOs, owners, presidents, senior executives, safety directors, estimators and managers run their businesses better. This year’s convention, held March 1-3, is designed to enhance your company with fantastic training and educational sessions, as well as plenty of networking opportunities.
Three highly engaging keynote speakers will share their insights and advice in hopes to help you succeed both personally and professionally. Former Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill, one of the most highly decorated veterans of our time, will bring his unique expertise to NUCA and translate his elite SEAL team training into high-impact, actionable insights on leadership, decision making, operating in uncertain environments and how to become the best of the best. Back by popular demand, Anika R. Khan, a director and senior economist with Wells Fargo, will present her economic perspective on how the economy is faring and what contractors can expect in the coming year. Last, but certainly not least, Joe Malarkey will impart a strong message of facing change and overcoming the fear of failure through his highly entertaining (and hilarious) one-man show.
Both Sunday and Monday (March 2 and 3) include time to visit NUCA’s National Partners, the convention’s exclusive exhibitors, who are ready to talk with contractors about new products, services and techniques. Please click here for more information on these companies, as well as some fun “Trip Tips” for your Las Vegas stay.
The convention boasts plenty of learning opportunities focused on engaging contractors and broadening their business horizons. For the first time ever, the convention program includes two NUCA leadership courses (Crew Leader Training and NUCA Institute for Leadership Development) and two safety courses (NUCA CPT Trench Safety and OSHA Construction Industry Training). On top of those valuable courses, be sure to check out the C-Level Breakout Sessions on March 2 and 3. Topics include people management, ObamaCare and the newly proposed OSHA silica standard, to name a few. The popular, executive-level Profit Pipeline Roundtable session is back on March 3, bringing together construction company owners and senior managers to discuss revenue-enhancing ideas in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Convention 2014 attendees are welcome to attend numerous networking events throughout the show. With the exception of the Annual Golf Tournament, all of these opportunities are included with the price of your registration. Be sure to check out the Final Gala and Auction on March 3 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. The evening will be filled with good food, friends and lots of bidding on fabulous items donated by NUCA members.
Winners of NUCA’s 2013 Community Service Awards, Awards of Excellence, William H. Feather Safety Awards and Chapter Merit Awards will be recognized during the evening. The Gala will also kick off NUCA’s 50th Year Celebration (1964-2014). Please click here for a list of events and times.
And don’t forget — if you registered before Feb. 14 — your registration includes a five-day CONEXPO pass, which gives you admittance to all of the trade show’s exhibits. This year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG will showcase more than 2,400 companies that provide the very latest in equipment, products and services.
On behalf of the NUCA staff, we’re thrilled to have you and we hope you enjoy the show!
