NUCA Surveys Members At Request of White House for PPE Equipment Donation
In response to Vice President Mike Pence’s call on March 17 asking for construction companies to donate protective masks and other personal protection equipment (PPE) to hospitals, NUCA and its membership are answering his call to service.
Every NUCA member was sent via email on March 19 an online survey asking them several questions to help the White House and the federal government inventory what the utility contractor industry has currently available to divert to medical communities running short of this material during the COVID-19 crisis.
Members were asked if they had surplus resources available such as worksite PPE masks, gloves, respirators, and other protective equipment, a list of these resources and the quantity that could be provided, and point of contact details to provide to the task force at the White House. The NUCA survey also solicited other ideas, opinions, or contacts that might help the task force during this critical time.
If you did not receive the NUCA email with the link to the survey and would like to answer it, or can provide more helpful information on this immediate need, please contact NUCA’s office. They will provide you with the members-only survey link, or will forward your additional details to the White House task force. The NUCA National office in Virginia remains open for now and can be reached at 703-358-9300.
