The John Deere 544K wheel loader is equipped with a 163-hp, PowerTech Tier 4 Final diesel engine that delivers impressive torque reserves. The popular model rides on a wide stance that provides additional stability for handling heavy loads and working on rough terrain. The 544K’s new standard five-speed transmission with lockup torque converter in gears two to five offers increased acceleration and speed cycles and optimizes power and fuel efficiency during transport, roading and ramp climbing. Same-side ground level service access makes the daily routine quick and easy. Enhanced onboard diagnostics and extended service intervals further maximize uptime. Operators looking to get the most out of their 544K can rely on Ultimate Uptime featuring John Deere WorkSight. With Ultimate Uptime, operators receive pre-delivery and follow-up inspections; three years of JDLink telematics, machine heath prognostics and remote diagnostics and programming capability; and the ability to add dealer-provided uptime solutions to customize the package to individual needs. Caterpillar recently updated its M Series medium wheel loader product line for 2016. The product updates include all new Cat Connect Technologies, additional safety features and reduced operating costs. The new Product Link Elite system is now offered as standard equipment providing faster cellular and satellite connection capabilities. In addition, the standard machine is shipped from the factory ready to accept the Cat Production Measurement system. Version 1.2 of the system now indicates when the linkage is in the weighing range, allowing operators to confirm that an accurate scaled weight is being determined. The Cat Object Detection System is integrated into the standard display. This radar system increases the operator’s awareness of obstacles up to 52 ft behind the machine. The system uses market-leading capability, speed-based zones and provides five proximity-warning levels which increase in intensity and frequency as the “stop zone” warning area approaches. Komatsu AmericaKomatsu America

Komatsu America’s WA270-8 wheel loader features a powerful 149-hp Tier 4 Final engine. The WA270-8’s parallel-lift linkage, with auto tilt-in to simulate a Z-bar, can be used in virtually any application from pallet handling to hard digging. Compact enough to squeeze between farm buildings, yet powerful enough to tackle jobs planned for bigger machines, this all-around performer moves from farm work to snow removal with ease. Komatsu’s proven fourth-generation hydrostatic drivetrain with variable traction control and S-Mode provides excellent traction control to reduce wheel slip, ideal for slippery conditions. The WA270-8 also features Komatsu’s pioneering telematics system KOMTRAX for key machine metrics, including KDPF status and DEF-level data, fuel consumption and performance information that is collected and sorted by operator ID. Like all Komatsu Tier 4 Final construction-sized machines, whether rented, leased or purchased, the WA270-8 is covered by the Komatsu CARE program. CaseCase

The Case 721F wheel loader delivers best-in-class horsepower, faster throttle response, greater fuel efficiency and simplified maintenance with a reliable SCR-equipped 6.7-liter Tier 4 Final engine. The machine comes standard with limited-slip axles for optimal traction and four programmable power modes. Available options include heavy-duty axles with hydraulically-locking front differential, five-speed transmission with lock-up torque converter and XT (tool carrier) or XR (extended reach) linkage. The 721F features the Case-exclusive mid-mounted cooling cube system. Unlike stacked coolers, this system is configured with the coolers facing outward toward ambient air, which improves efficiency. An optional reversing fan combats debris buildup and reduces the need for cleaning. This design also moves the engine lower and toward the rear of the machine, improving rear visibility and ground-line serviceability. The wheel loader comes standard with Case ProCare — which includes a three-year Advanced Case SiteWatch telematics subscription, three-year/3,000-hour full machine factory warranty and three-year/3,000-hour planned maintenance contract.
