Caterpillar

The new Cat 950M and 962M wheel loaders — powered by Cat C7.1 ACERT engines meeting Tier 4 Final emissions standards — are significantly more powerful than their K-Series predecessors and deliver 10 percent better fuel efficiency. The new models feature major drivetrain refinement, extensively redesigned hydraulic systems, new cab amenities, electronic payload measurement, optimized Z-Bar linkage that combines optimized bucket performance with parallel lift and a range of Cat Performance Series buckets and work tools. With a net rating of 230 hp, the new 950M produces 9 percent more power than its K-Series counterpart, and the 962M, rated at 250 hp, has 13 percent more power. Peak torque is up an average 18 percent for the new models, which means more useable power at the wheels, says Cat. Case

Case Construction Equipment announced that its 621F and 721F wheel loaders now meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards with 6.7-liter engines. Like the Tier 4 Interim models, each model is equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) solution that treats emissions separately with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and does not require the engine to re-circulate exhaust gas. This proves extremely practical, as it improves fuel efficiency (up to 20 percent greater than previous solutions), lowers exhaust temperatures and fuel consumption and provides throttle response and simplified maintenance without sacrificing power. It also requires no diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration or maintenance — optimizing uptime for greater productivity. The 621F and 721F wheel loaders produce 162 and 179 net rated hp, respectively. Doosan

The Doosan DL250-5 wheel loader provides improvements in fuel efficiency, operator comfort, serviceability, reliability and remote monitoring with Doosan Telematics. The DL250-5 replaces the Tier 4 Interim model and is powered by a Tier 4-compliant Doosan DL06 diesel engine. Increased visibility and cab improvements, including an adjustable steering column for improved operator comfort, ease of operation and floor space, are just a couple benefits of the DL250-5 model. Operators can work efficiently thanks to three selectable work modes — Economy, Standard and Power — and an added high-lift configuration provides additional dump height. Hyundai

Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas has launched its new HL900 Series line of Tier 4 Final-compliant wheel loaders, now available for sale throughout the United States and Canada. These new wheel loaders are designed for performance, productivity and efficiency, says Hyundai, and deliver as much as 5 percent greater productivity and 10 percent lower fuel consumption than the previous 9A Series loaders. The first models available for sale include the HL940, HL955, HL960, HL970 and HL980. Additional wheel loader models, including the HL935, and special model configurations like the popular Tool Master (TM) and Extended Reach (XT) models, will be available in the fourth quarter of 2015. The cab on the Hyundai HL900 Series wheel loaders is up to 10 percent larger than previous models and has been reconfigured for additional floor space and improved visibility. John Deere

The John Deere 544K wheel loader is equipped with a 163-hp, PowerTech EPA Tier 4 Final diesel engine that delivers impressive torque reserves, says the company. The model rides on a wide stance that provides additional stability for handling heavy loads and working on rough terrain. The 544K’s new standard five-speed transmission with lockup torque converter in gears two to five offers increased acceleration, speeds cycles and optimizes power and fuel efficiency during transport, roading and ramp climbing. Komatsu America

Komatsu America’s WA380-8 wheel loader features a 191-hp Komatsu variable geometry turbocharged and after-cooled Tier 4 Final certified engine, using up to 6 percent less fuel than the previous model. Komatsu’s SmartLoader Logic software combines with a lockup torque converter, which activates in second, third and fourth gears for optimal engine torque and dynamic acceleration and hill climbing, with higher top speed. The Komatsu diesel particulate filter (KDPF), selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system and other after-treatment components work in harmony with the engine for efficiency and long life. The KOMTRAX telematics system provides key machine metrics, including KDPF status, DEF-level data and fuel consumption, plus performance information collected and sorted by operator ID. Kubota

Kubota’s new R30-Series includes the R530 and R630, bringing more features and power in a new design to Kubota’s wheel loader offering. The most compact of the new R30-Series, the R530 features a 51-hp engine and maximum breakout force of 7,761 lbs. The R630 offers a 64.4-hp engine and delivers a maximum breakout force of 10,415 lbs. Both models are available with a ROPS/FOPS certified canopy or new air conditioned cab and include a hydrostatic transmission (HST). The R630 provides an E-HST (electronic) transmission with four modes — normal mode, attachment mode, power and Eco-modes. The R30-Series expands attachment selection with a new hydraulic skid steer-style quick-coupler and a hydraulic Euro-style coupler. Volvo

According to Volvo, its L90H wheel loaders are versatile machines equipped with an industry-leading cab and an efficient engine for increased productivity and reduced fuel consumption in a variety of applications. Equipped with a Volvo 6-liter diesel Tier 4 Final engine, the wheel loader delivers high torque at low engine rpm for performance and fuel efficiency. The L90H is built with unique Torque Parallel (TP) linkage for versatility and front visibility.
