The new Cat 950M and 962M wheel loaders — powered by Cat C7.1 ACERT engines meeting Tier 4 Final emissions standards — are significantly more powerful than their K-Series predecessors and deliver 10 percent better fuel efficiency. The new models feature major drivetrain refinement, extensively redesigned hydraulic systems, new cab amenities, electronic payload measurement, optimized Z-Bar linkage that combines optimized bucket performance with parallel lift and a range of Cat Performance Series buckets and work tools. With a net rating of 230 hp, the new 950M produces 9 percent more power than its K-Series counterpart, and the 962M, rated at 250 hp, has 13 percent more power. Case Construction Equipment announced that its 621F and 721F wheel loaders now meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards with 6.7-liter engines. Like the Tier 4 Interim models, each model is equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) solution that treats emissions separately with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and does not require the engine to re-circulate exhaust gas. This proves extremely practical, as it improves fuel efficiency (up to 20 percent greater than previous solutions), lowers exhaust temperatures and fuel consumption and provides throttle response and simplified maintenance without sacrificing power. It also requires no diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration or maintenance — optimizing uptime for greater productivity. The 621F and 721F wheel loaders produce 162 and 179 net rated hp, respectively. Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas has launched its new HL900 Series line of Tier 4 Final-compliant wheel loaders, now available for sale throughout the United States and Canada. These new wheel loaders are designed for performance, productivity and efficiency, says Hyundai, and deliver as much as 5 percent greater productivity and 10 percent lower fuel consumption than the previous 9A Series loaders. The first models available for sale include the HL940, HL955, HL960, HL970 and HL980. Additional wheel loader models, including the HL935, and special model configurations like the popular Tool Master (TM) and Extended Reach (XT) models, will be available in the fourth quarter of 2015. Kubota’s new R30-Series includes the R530 and R630, bringing more features and power in a new design to Kubota’s wheel loader offering. The most compact of the new R30-Series, the R530 features a 51-hp engine and maximum breakout force of 7,761 lbs. The R630 offers a 64.4-hp engine and delivers a maximum breakout force of 10,415 lbs.
