JCB   

JCB’s popular entry-level 3CX, a 14-ft full-size backhoe loader, is now being built at the firm’s U.S. headquarters in Savannah, Ga., allowing the company to react rapidly to North American customer demands. The machine boasts a 13,063-lb loader breakout force and 6,354-lbf loader lift capacity to its full height. The excavator bucket has a 13,942-lb breakout force. It is powered by a JCB Ecomax Tier 4 Final engine delivering 74 hp. This highly efficient power plant has no requirement for a costly diesel particulate filter or any form of exhaust after-treatment, reducing operating costs for customers and simplifying on-site operation. The JCB Ecomax engine has been designed to achieve Tier 4 Final emissions regulations through efficient combustion, the use of second-generation common rail fuel injection technology, cooled exhaust gas recirculation and sophisticated electronic control. Caterpillar

The new F2 Series Cat backhoe loaders include the 416F2, 420F2, 430F2 and a model new to the range, the 415F2. The new F2 Series center-pivot models build on the solid performance, reliability and durability of their F Series predecessors with engines that meet Tier 4 Final emissions standards, new operator’s station and added features and options that further enhance performance and operator productivity. The 420F2 and 430F2 continue to be available with both single-tilt and Integrated Tool Carrier (IT) front linkage, and four-wheel drive is standard for the 430F2 and available for other models. The 415F2 uses a Cat C3.4B engine, rated at 68 net hp, and the 416F2, 420F2 and 430F2 use the Cat C4.4 ACERT engine, with net-horsepower ratings (SAE J1349) of 87, 93 and 108, respectively. The 415F2 does not require diesel exhaust fluid, a convenience for buyers such as rental firms and governmental agencies. John Deere

The new John Deere L-Series backhoes build on the distinguished performance of their K-Series predecessors. The new series offers improvements on features that John Deere customers have come to know and trust — plus the addition of several new ones — to increase uptime, improve productivity and lower daily operating costs. The L-Series lineup boasts six new, efficient models — the 310L EP, 310L, 310SL, 310SL HL, 315SL and 410L. Built in Dubuque, Iowa, the L-Series backhoes are designed for a variety of jobs, including: loading trucks, placing pipe, digging trenches, moving materials or tearing up asphalt. The L-Series meets today’s emissions regulations with a rugged Tier 4 Final PowerTech Plus diesel engine on the 310L (93 hp), 310SL (99 hp), 310SL HL (110 hp), 315SL (99 hp) and 410L (113 hp), and a certified Tier 4 Interim John Deere PowerTech engine on the 310L EP (70 hp).
