Bland Honored with NUCA’s ‘Associate Member of the Year’ Award

The National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) awarded Yvonne Bland of Core & Main LP their prestigious “NUCA Associate Member of the Year” Award, honoring her work on behalf of the industry.

“Yvonne’s dedication to NUCA is simply tremendous,” said Doug Carlson, NUCA Chief Executive Officer. “She has assisted this association in its leadership, and in its policy directions in Washington. She has been there for NUCA and our members for many years. Yvonne has shown that she is a passionate advocate for this industry, and very much deserves this great honor.”

Yvonne Bland has worked for NUCA National Partner Core & Main for over 36 years, steadily working her way to her present position as Vice President of Sales and Business Development and gaining the respect of her industry peers.

Bland has been very involved with NUCA on a local and national level. Currently serving as Convention Committee chairperson, she also has been serving on the NUCA National Executive Board. Yvonne has been instrumental in helping the industry understand the “Build America, Buy America” requirements, and through the years leading many Congressional meetings at the annual Washington Summit. She selflessly gives her time and expertise to promote NUCA and America’s utility construction industry, setting an example for others to achieve and respect.

Bland was named as “NUCA Associate Member of the Year” in 2014, and has deservedly earned it again with her actions, her dedication, and her commitment to NUCA and America’s utility construction industry.

The “NUCA Associate Member of the Year Award” is presented annually to an associate member who has made a significant contribution on the national level to the industry and the association. The 2023 award was personally presented to Bland by NUCA leadership at the association’s 2024 Convention & Exhibit held March 23 in Palm Springs, California.
