NUCA of Texas Hosts Insightful Legislative Update Event
Will Brown, NUCA’s Director of Government Affairs, kicked off the event by discussing the power of constituent feedback as a tool to educate Congress. Brown talked about how the House and Senate have little construction experience, that hearing directly from those who understand the industry is vital, and about how the combination of constituent contact and NUCA National’s efforts to put the industry’s issues directly in front of national legislators can turn votes. Also speaking at the event were Keynote Speaker Texas Representative Cecil Bell Jr., Texas State Representative Giovanni Capriglione and Chapter President Alex Kocker. The successful event ended with 100 percent of responding members noting that they were glad or very glad they had attended.
