Ritmo Introduces a New Generation of Tracked Fusion Technology
REMEDY 355 and REMEDY 500 combine mobility, hydraulic power and field-ready innovation for demanding thermoplastic pipe applications
As thermoplastic pipe systems continue to grow in size and complexity, contractors are looking for fusion equipment that can deliver productivity and precision while also adapting to the realities of challenging jobsites. Ritmo is answering that demand with the new REMEDY 355 and REMEDY 500, two tracked fusion machines designed to bring high-performance butt fusion directly to the field.

The REMEDY platform combines the power of a hydraulic fusion system with the mobility of a self-propelled crawler, creating a solution designed for applications where conventional stationary or trailer-mounted equipment may not provide the same level of accessibility.
The REMEDY 355 handles pipe from 125 to 355 mm, including 4–14″ IPS and 4–12″ DIPS, and is designed for PE-HD, PP and other thermoplastic materials. Its tracked undercarriage features two travel speeds and can negotiate slopes of up to 30 percent. A Kubota diesel engine provides the power for field operation, while hydraulic movement of the facer and heater helps simplify positioning and setup.
Ritmo has also incorporated features intended to improve productivity and operator safety. The REMEDY 355 includes telescopic rollers for loading pipe from ground level, a three-blade hydraulic facer, portable welding controls and a hydraulic oil heat-exchange system designed for high ambient temperatures. Emergency engine shutdown, LED lighting and a safe-start system for the facer add additional layers of operational control.
For larger-diameter work, the REMEDY 500 extends the fusion range to 200–500 mm, or 6–20″ IPS. Its hydraulic system delivers pressures of up to 145 bar and a maximum force of 71,130 N. The machine features a three-blade hydraulic facer, hydraulic movement of the facer and heater, and an onboard diesel-powered system designed for independent field operation.

The REMEDY 500’s tracked platform is operated through wireless remote control with a range of approximately 100 meters, while cable and manual controls provide additional operating options. The crawler incorporates two travel speeds, and its movement is disabled during welding. Acoustic movement warnings and three emergency engine-stop buttons further emphasize jobsite safety.
Both machines are engineered with field applications in mind, including in-ditch welding. The REMEDY 500 can accommodate extensions of up to seven meters for ditch welding and can be equipped with accessories including flange-neck tooling, ground rollers and hydraulic pipe-locking systems.
More Than a Machine
The REMEDY launch is part of a much broader fusion equipment offering from Ritmo. The company’s product portfolio spans butt-fusion machines across a wide range of pipe diameters, including DELTA and REMEDY models, as well as electrofusion, socket-fusion, fitting fabrication and other thermoplastic welding equipment. Ritmo’s published product range extends from smaller-diameter machines through equipment capable of handling pipe up to 1,600 mm.

Ritmo also continues to develop technologies aimed at improving jobsite documentation and welding control. For example, the DELTA 355 All Terrain incorporates the EASY LIFE welding system, GPS capability and memory for up to 4,000 welding reports.
In North America, Ritmo America LLC supports this equipment portfolio through locations in Lake Wales, Florida, and the Houston-area market in Texas. The company provides customers with equipment sales, technical support, spare parts, service, training, commissioning, demonstrations, rentals and financing.
For contractors, that means the relationship with Ritmo extends beyond the purchase of a machine. From selecting the appropriate fusion technology to commissioning equipment, training operators and supporting machines throughout their working life, Ritmo America is positioned to provide a complete equipment and support solution.
With the REMEDY 355 and REMEDY 500, Ritmo is bringing together mobility, hydraulic performance, operator-focused safety and field versatility—giving the thermoplastic pipe industry new options for tackling demanding fusion applications where access, productivity and reliability matter.
