America’s Premier Utility Contractors Association Partners with G6 Hospitality to Offer New Discount Lodging Program to NUCA Members
The National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) and G6 Hospitality, the parent company of Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands in the U.S. and Canada, announced on Sept. 4 a partnership that will provide to its members’ employees a 12% discount off the best available rate at nearly 1,300 Motel 6 locations across the United States and Canada.
Participating NUCA members can also enjoy many free services, including free local phone calls and basic wi-fi, morning coffee and expanded cable TV. Pets stay free at Motel 6 and kids under the age of 17 stay for free when occupying the same room with an adult family member. Many locations also offer swimming pools and guest laundry facilitates. NUCA members can also use this special discount for their non-business and leisure stays at the popular hotel chain.
“We are pleased to have partnered with the National Utility Contractors Association to be able to meet the lodging needs of members looking for a consistent, comfortable, and affordable short-term or extended stay hotel,” said David Nix, Vice President, Sales at G6 Hospitality. “With nearly 1,300 Motel 6 locations, NUCA members are sure to find our lights on regardless of where they are traveling.”
This new partnership between G6 Hospitality and NUCA is unique in the U.S. construction industry. In the past, when contractors worked on lengthy projects away from their local areas and homes, ad hoc lodging arrangements between individual companies and hotel providers delivered results that were not favorable to contractors. Excavation and emergency remediation contracts can last anywhere between several days to many months, requiring employers to book accommodations for long periods of time which can prohibitively expensive.
“Our members will greatly benefit from this new partnership in many ways,” said Doug Kleine, NUCA interim CEO. “This first-ever arrangement through NUCA for our member employees’ lodging needs will help simplify job site logistics for crew members and help their competitive bids for jobs. At the end of the day, we believe this partnership with Motel 6 and Studio 6, a quality economy hotel brand with many locations across the U.S. and Canada, will also let our members’ employees sleep well and awaken refreshed for another day building America’s infrastructure.”
NUCA members can access this discount through this online link to the members-only area of the association’s website: https://www.nuca.com/motel6.
G6 Hospitality recently joined NUCA as a Bronze-level National Partner. The company will promote this exciting new partnership during NUCA’s Annual Convention & Exhibit in Tucson, Arizona, on February 27-29, 2020, and demonstrate to attendees how this benefit can help members seeking short and long-term hotel stays for their employees. NUCA National Partners are given high visibility and numerous opportunities to make strong connections with fellow members, as well as additional marketing opportunities through the association’s publications and events.
