Barbco Exec to Speak at Sales & Marketing Event

Thomas W. Schmidt, Vice President of Barbco Inc., will present “Dig Your Well Before You’re Thirsty – Stories from the Pursuit of Relentless Preparation” at the April 13, 2021, National Sales & Marketing Executives Akron Canton’s program workshop. The dinner program will also feature “The Five Essential Laws of Hospitality in Our Post COVID-19 Economy That Build Loyalty, Retention and Revenue,” by Bob Pacanovsky of Black Tie Experience.
National Sales & Marketing Executives (NSME) is a professional association that provides high-caliber educational and valuable networking opportunities for sales and marketing leaders in the Akron/Canton region. NSME Akron/Canton members are known for identifying and mastering emerging trends and exemplify thought-leadership in their industries.
Schmidt is the current Treasurer of the NSME Board of Directors and a Past President (2015-17). In 2013, he received the esteemed Achievements in Excellence Award.
The annual National Sales & Marketing Executives (NSME) “Accent on Excellence Event” awards program in the Akron/Canton region recognizes the Executive of the Year, the Outstanding Community Leader of the Year, multiple “Achievements in Excellence Award” recipients and the Collegiate Award Recipient.
These honorees have demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism during their careers in diverse sales and marketing roles. Winners are selected by NSME Akron/Canton leaders based on nominations from local professionals, questionnaire responses provided by the nominees, and publicly available information. Criteria include community and civic involvement, professional experience, and demonstrated performance.
In the Akron/Canton area, the NSME has held an annual awards gala to honor the “best of the best” sales and marketing professionals since 1972. This popular event is well-known and respected among regional business, non-profit, and higher-education organizations.
