NUCA Celebrates 50 Years at Its 2015 Convention in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

During his presentation at the Keynote Luncheon on Wednesday, March 25, Lovell will share his inspirational story as a testament to the essential elements of heroism: a courageous spirit, quick and well-reasoned thinking, meticulous attention to detail and the power of teamwork that guided him and his crew safely back to Earth.
Back by popular demand, Anika R. Khan, a Senior Economist with Wells Fargo, will present her economic perspective on how the economy is faring and what contractors can expect in the coming year. Khan has more than 15 years of experience in corporate investment banking, and her commentary is frequently cited by publications such as the Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

The convention boasts plenty of learning opportunities focused on engaging contractors and broadening their business horizons. This year’s program includes four NUCA leadership development courses and a variety of educational breakout sessions covering topics such as pipe ramming, cyber security and utility damage, to name a few. The popular, executive-level Profit Pipeline Roundtable session is back on March 26, bringing together construction company owners and senior managers to discuss revenue-enhancing ideas in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Convention 2015 attendees are welcome to attend numerous networking events throughout the show. With the exception of the Annual Golf Tournament on March 26, all of these opportunities are included with the price of your registration. Caterpillar is once again sponsoring this year’s team building event on March 24, where participants will break off into groups and create (and then play) a miniature golf course.

NUCA’s 50th Anniversary Celebration is set for the last night on March 26 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Enjoy a walk down memory lane with a slideshow highlighting that past 50 years, as well as other fun. Say your final goodbyes at the After Party, sponsored by Benjamin Media and National Trench Safety.
